Shirlee has a deep love for all of her past and present fur & feathered babies. She is taking several memorable escapades from her time owning a pet shop with these exceptional creatures and putting their characters into storybooks for children to learn about their care and how much our extended pet family members, as well as the wild and exotic, add to the love of our everyday lives.
She is also looking at ways to help shelters and animals in need by writing and teaching children the importance of responsible pet ownership and the joys of caring for animals. Shirlee is passionate about spreading the message that all animals deserve respect, love, and care. She is also a strong advocate for animal rescue and adoption and hopes her books will encourage everyone to be kind and compassionate toward animals.
